av98m SG Remind me during pub night to tell you about my experience with the meyer briggs type indicator (MBTI)
fudgester SG Hmm... maybe I should go to the Military Nuts forum and talk about vibrations of SAF Land Rovers, GP cars, ambulances, and 5-tonners.
hisoka SG erm, why? we moderate and at least modify our answers to questions in interviews, so why not modify answers to pre-interview questions? i'm not taking about outright lying anyway
the Bear SG actually, the MBTI thing? i've changed throughout the years okay.. my schizophrenia is showing
hisoka SG well, pple prepare for interviews too right? besides the purpose of the psychometric test for potential employees is to get into the interviews/job
av98m SG Your prospective employers will be horrified. The whole purpose of those tests is to find out if you're a good fit into the company culture...and to eliminate the obvious nutjobs
the Bear SG and you all know what i mean when i say a lot of people are very machiavellian these days..
fudgester SG Now, now... Being a bus forum mod, you gotta lead by example.... you must start paying through your ezlink card.
av98m SG I dunno, what you're saying sounds like outright lying to me Anyway, those tests are mostly quite easy to 'defeat' lah. They have no real safeguards against outright lying and warped perception
fudgester SG As the others have pointed out, the purpose of psychometric testing is for your prospective employers to get a feel of whether you can work well with others and fit into the company culture of doing things. The very fact that you have to consider doing extensive preparations for it says a lot about your ability to get along well with your potential employers and colleagues. I'm being brutally direct... but I can't put it in any other way.
tare SG when i went for my interview with NIE [yes i was almost nuts]... my teacher friend sternly warned me NEVER say i dun like or worse hate kids!!!! i told him i won't mention until they ask....
